Since you are doing a cast oven, I suggest you either contact David S on the Forum or review his post on cast ovens. He is our resident expert on cast ovens and also...

    Reply to Big Floor Cracks after 50+ Fires
    I prefer to start up and cool down my oven slowly to avoid thermal sock. For example I start a small fire for half hour and then i go for bigger fire.. Also when I finish the cooking, I put back the door to cool down slowly..
    I don't know if this is your problem but I suggest you to avoid instant...
