Re: Life got in the way unfortunately.
Gudday Al
Building trade is pretty slow up this way as well. I have a few mates I worry for and you see a few tradies utes with the tool box and the lawn mower and wipper snippet in the back.
So you have given the bricklaying away. There aren't that many young fellas taking up the trade. They gave it a push at the local school when my youngest was there you know start you trade whilst still at school. Thay had 5 star not one keep it up.
Same with cobblers .....my tradesmen is off this yr for further study and my last apprentice is off to the army and finally wants to become a policeman. I'll train another I course but I don't know who to pick maybe someone a little older per
We'll just see what the year brings
Anyway all the best for Xmas for you and yours
Regards dave

Re: Life got in the way unfortunately.
I went back to my other trade of boiler maker/hydraulic fitter.
Work in the building trade came to a stand still, plus I hit my use by date as a brickie.
The mob Im working for do a lot of Christmas shut down maintenance work so Ill be just getting the main days off and working right through.
I havent thought about Christmas lunch yet, it will prolly be a piece of pork in the oven.
