Community Cookbook Recipe Contest

Do you have a wood fired recipe that gets rave reviews from family and friends? Now is your opportunity to not only share it with other wood fired chefs and enthusiasts, but get rewarded, too! Starting June 1 through July 30, 2016 we are holding a Summer Wood Fired Recipe Contest and the winner will receive a $75.00 shopping spree in the Forno Bravo Store.

Submit your recipes through the Forno Bravo Community Cookbook “Submit a Recipe” button. The winner will be based on the number of votes the recipe receives. A link to the recipes will be posted on the Forno Bravo Facebook, Google+, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest pages and the Forum. To be eligible to win, your recipe must include a photo of the dish being cooked in your wood fired oven.

  • It's Hatch Pepper Season!

    I picked up a bunch of hatch peppers the other day and roasted them up! I used a little on some pizza and peeled the rest to freeze....

    Get them while you can. They have a nice flavorful heat to them. I put them in small baggies so I can pull a little at a time later as I want to use them.

    I picked up a bag (30 lb) of roasted chiles a few weeks back put them in zip loc bags (either 1 or2 lb per bag) and froze them for future use. Need to get them soon as the late harvest are less meaty and stringier in my opinion. I'm planning for another bag this week and it should hold me for the year.

      My dad has been growing and doing this forever.
      Home grown, organic with saved seeds from the best one every year for well over 50 years, perfectly suited to his climate and palate.
