    If you are interested in camp ovens and using them this site is very comprehensive. I know this bloke from 30 odd years ago and he is a decent cove - another refugee from GB. I worked with him in the mid 70's.
    Derek has been developing this site for a long time and is generous with his knowledge.

        Thanks for the link I will have to explore it a little more, but I pretty sure I have seen his vids on camp oven cooking on Old Briz 31.

          Definitely South Australian, I was well into my 20s before I even laid eyes on an electricity pole that wasn't a Stobie pole. They make a lot of sense, at least a 50 year life span I think. And the South Oz termites just can't chew them.
          Can't claim they are real pretty, though.

            I didn't think that there was enough wood in SA to support a termite population?
            Don't you folk burn malley roots and make your house fencing from flat steel panels and supposed fire resistant brush panelling.
