    Re: CajunKnight needs prayers

My niece had lost here Grand Mother, Aunt and Uncle to leukemia. She to have contracted this awful disease. She took a stroll through hell eight years ago. As of last month, she is still cancer free and doing fine. There is POWER in PRAYER.

We have finally made it to Houston Texas! MD Anderson is the treatment center we've chosen and Cajun will have Radiation and Chemo for the next 6 weeks beginning tomorrow, 9/25 at 3:00 pm CST. We will be doing the treatments monday through friday with sat and sun off....he will then have a 4 week break and they will do this all over again. It's an aggressive cancer so they are doing an aggressive treatment. We are building a website about his journey so as soon as it's up and running I'll post a link for everyone.

          Re: CajunKnight needs prayers

My mother in law had chemo and radiation for breast cancer a year ago. She said the chemo wasn't so bad but the radiation was awful, like being cooked. Of course, it's a totally different site, so maybe it will be better. At any rate, good luck this afternoon and going forward from here. We're all in your corner.

                  Re: CajunKnight needs prayers

Unfortunately Cajun lost his battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme Grade 4 on June 17, 2009. He passed peacefully in his sleep while I slept next to him. I want to thank all the members of this board for their prayers for Travis and I have promised him that I would finish his WFO if it kills me and it probably will because I've been working on it since day 1 and I have no idea what I'm doing! Without him to tell me the next step, I'm not sure how to finish this project but it was the last promise I made him before he died. So it will be finished but I can't guarantee the usability of it...lol.

                    Re: CajunKnight needs prayers

It's difficult to respond to this news. I wish Travis Gods speed and all the best to you and your family. I really wish I was in your area because I would love to help you see this project to completion. Not for the bread and pizza, but for the man...

                    God bless,

                    Les...

Same as Les, I would do anything to help if I lived in the area. I know some of our great members of your area will step up with supplies and time to help this dream come to fruition. I have not posted for a while do to personal reasons, but this never gets past me. I care and miss this great person of our board.
