Re: Many Thanks James/FB Forum Posters

    Oh, now come on James,
using a rolling pin is the only way I can get my dough flat and evenly thin before I get run over in the rush by my visitors trying to get their pizzas going!

A friend of mine uses a ridiculously simple method to do bases. Roll the dough out nice and thin (I can't toss them either) and place them on some baking paper, one on top of another. Then you have a fresh base to throw on the wooden peel each time, so there's no waiting for someone to roll out a base. Don't know why I didn't think of it.

        David,
that's not a bad idea, but I reckon that I do enough for the guests as they need to get right into the making of their pizzas, after all I make their dough, supply all the ingredients and then clean up their mess. The one thing I don't do is provide their grog. Seeing that I don't drink and wouldn't know what their preference is, so they supply their own and it is then always fresh.

Frances, don't worry! I have the patience of a saint in certain situations. If anything goes wrong with the oven during the firing I'll probably cry. If it's my fault, I'll sob for hours! Your oven's mosaic is AWESOME by the way, you are crazy talented!

            Store-bought birthday cake? The horror!

(unless it's an ice cream cake, and that's different. No one eats those for the cake part)

When you get a pizza base ready and stack them, do you have two pieces of paper between them? I was thinking of doing it, but I was afraid the lower one would stick to the paper under the upper one... My girls are in their first year of college, and they have promised their new friends a pizza party here in the spring. If I start planning now, I might not have a heart attack and die over it. On the other hand, none of their friends seem to think I'm weird for having built an oven in my back yard, which is more than I can say for some of my own friends...
