Re: Floor heating problem - help!

I also need some other suggestions.

Can someone tell me about glass-wool as insulation? If not, what insulation would you suggest is the best.

And suggest an idea about the door - as I've redone my oven opening -
Should I use an iron door?

    Please suggest...

    Thanks,
    Ahmad

Though I have not yet built an oven I have been lurking for some time. According to what I have read glass wool is generally not the best because it can smell. Most use either ceramic fiber wool or vermiculite in concrete. If you look around the forum a little bit more you can find lots of discussion about insulation. etc.

ahmadyousaf, you may be an engineer but you obviously know nothing about wood-fired ovens. I would suggest you take some time to search through this forum and read what is already here. There are even a full set of plans available through the website.....for FREE. There is a lot of good information here, if you just look for it.
