I've laid some dry pressed red clay bricks that weight 4kgs each so density shouldn't be a problem.
How do you re charge the oven floor when its getting cold?
Just waiting a while without any pizza in?
Do you add wood only at one side or both at the pizza cooking time?

        Re: Heat Drops fast!

Today i tried to make pizzas, the first 2 was ok, llitle burned but ok.
After the second the floor started to cook slower than the top, the thickness of the floor is 4 cm firebrick.
...still the water from the perlcrete?
Anyway, after pizzas i baked some sourdough bread.
Now after 3 hours after the bread, the temp is still at 250c.
        Questions:
I what temp should i bake bread?
        Turns out little brown colour!
When do i take the temp reading for baking?
I now get the temp after the coals out, wipe the floor and let with the door on for half an hour?If it's to hot i open for 30 seconds the door and let is equalize for another 15 minutes.
        ...pff...i really smell like fire!

Even though I used less than 40 litres of water in my build the curing took many, many fires.
You will know when its fully cured as you will go holy sh1t!!!!! this oven burns well.
