    So I live in Maine and was wondering at what depth I should pour my slab.

    there are a couple different trains of thought on that . one is to go down to frost line , your building dept could tell you how deep that is , pour a footer and stemwall then build your slab on that . the other is to do whats referred to as a floating slab , which is basically a slab that is poured on a gravel bed on grade . you can find good examples of both on the forums here.

      I did mine at 3.5 inches, and heavily rebar it. 6 inches on center.
