I would say to start a build thread. But every now and then you will need to ask a question that is obscure and then it is best to post a question in the right thread or chapter. So do both basically.

Posting questions vs starting thread
Hi all, just starting my first build and had a general sort of question. Is it better to post questions as they come up or to start a thread and ask questions as part of the running dialog? I noticed the New Topics function seems to be broken, so not sure the best way to get my questions seen without wasting time of the experts.
