Fireplace under oven?

I considered that, for sure. I doubt that I'd use them at the same time, though. Either way, I'll probably pass on the idea. I have plenty of room to do a side by side and it just makes most sense.

I was thinking about doing this at first but realized I would not be able to use the fireplace if I was using the oven because it would probably be to hot to stand in front while the fireplace was active and I was making pizza.

I seem to remember seeing some plans years ago, too. I'm also in the planning stages for my next oven. I plan, at this time, to build them side by side and I have the room. However, the idea of doing a fireplace under the oven, w/a single chimney intrigues me a bit. I'll poke around online a bit and see if I can find any plans. I'd like to at least look them over. Not to mention, I love a good challenge.

I saw an old post about someone wanting to build an oven over a fireplace. The replies seemed to say that this would be hard - but not impossible - but no real solution. Has someone done this? My yard is small and I think this would be ideal. If someone has plans or has actually made one please let me know.
