  • Cob Links

In another thread (that I'm trying not to derail) I promised to look through my book marks for FB threads related to cob ovens when I got my desktop back. Got desktop, forgot thread. Anyway, here are the few I had that were actually about cob and not merely someone mentioning cob (you know, some obsessed person who is always bringing it up... okay, me. ). One is just me talking to myself - but the link in it is pretty good. The Texas one is the best!

    Re: Cob Links

Hey, I have just recently started a cob/mud oven. It has been fun and satisfying working the clay/soil. It is satisfying that it is so cheap but labor intensive. Check out the link below. Soon, I will pull out the sand form and dry and light small fires and most assuredly fill the cracks and finally insulate.

I already have thoughts of building a small cob sauna and/or small study to get away to!!!

Great links Archena. For anyone building in clay I would (and continue to) recommend Simon Brookes's blog, with a PDF eBook. (I assume it's OK to post external links.)

Oh cool! I hadn't realized he'd offered an e-book! I read his blog a while back - it's terrific! Thanks, Geoff!

(Yes, external links are allowed - good thing of James would spend most of his day modding this site! )
