Spit Roaster Plans

Hi all,

Just a quick one, does anyone know of or have plans for building a spit roaster/rotisserie? I ideally would like to do it all form scratch, the motor, gears, spit rod, vessel to hold coals/fire etc, any one with any help, please let me know.

That is nice, rotating food tastes so good.

Does anyone know of any plans for a free standing spit? maybe with a split 44 gallon drum type vessel underneath? I know it doesn't sound like a too difficult project, but if anyone has any ideas or plans that would be great. Im thinking of doing some sort of whole beast! yum
