Actually I ran the screws through the front section only. Then I riveted the last piece into place. My only is concern is what I will do if the screws loosen up!
Anyways... it was my first one. I want to build another using copper for the front. Hopefully I can find some brass rivets to match.

just finished my door, made it out of a piece of soap stone . bolted a small stainless angle to the bottom to keep it verticle . also added a couple of stain less handles with wood over the handles for handling .this door is heavy but is easily slid out of the way and holds the heat very well

And a few more from last night.
I had a little time to work on it last night. Inside the house!
I've been thinking of covering one side with copper, and after I used one half as a door on Sunday, (it got colored from the smoke). I am definitely going to cover one side now!

Lots of sharp edges there Dave. Hope you're still wearing those gloves!
