Quick !! ebay have some firebricks (UK)

Hi,
Would someone have a look at these bricks for me please? I've emailed the vendor to see if he knows the grade and consistency. Price is right but they seem to have a recess or cutaway down one side.

Could I work with these or would it be too much trouble (they would be fine for the base I guess)?

UK ebay... do a search on 'hardley bricks' (he spelt hardly wrong)

You just need the weight to figure out if they are the right weight or better yet you need the Aluminimum to Silica content.

As for the "Bridge" nothing that a saw can't take care of. You can use the cutoff as mini-shims.

Hi Je,
The weight is 3kg (6.6lbs).

What do you think ?
I guess I'll have to get a decent saw if I need to cut the ends off... I'm just wondering if it might be a false economy.
