Dome Installation Video - Casa / Premio / Modena

Hello,

For many of you who bought a modular oven, you may have asked how we put the domes together when we build them. For those of you considering one of our ovens, we shot a video to make your install easier.

Check it out on our You Tube Channel.

Can i use pre-mixed pool crete in place of mixing vermiculite and portland cement?

You can, but I don't think there's any real advantage to it in these tiny quantities.

That said, the guy I bought my perlite from now sells a concrete mix for pretty much the same price:

      Re: Pool Crete

I've worked with this and it seems to have a bit higher cement content than what I've seen recommended on this site.

      It mixed and hardended well.

I bought it at a pool supply shop expecting loose vermiculite, but found it was a mix later.

I used it as a loosely arranged second layer over top of ceramic blanket around the base of my dome.
