    Beautiful door!!!!

    I will need to think about the over the door question, I have a large expanse of brick over my opening also.

    I would guess a green bay packers emblem would be out of the question

    Do you have any close-ups of your oven door? It looks very nice.

    Okay were done. The oven works really well. The dome see's 1000F do problem and the floor holds 750F for as many pizzas you can though at it ( as long as some fuel is there). Ended up with one crack. Doesn't rear is head untill over 750 @ the dome. cold you never see it. Doesn't seem to hinder perfomace , she cranks up nice. Thanks to all who put up with my questions.

    Hey Chip, Thanks here is an updated pic with the brick that is going on it. I put the wood in metal track so it should be good to go. Anywhere the wood had hot surface next to it I wraped ceramic and roxul, mainly chimney. My5emp hit son has been helping me all summer, we actully did make a pizza in it and dutch ovened some chicken. floor 580F so we through 2 in it.

    Ramped up the curing today to a full blaze. I had been easing up the temps, two days ago had over 600F no problems, and today cleared the top of the dome and thats where it stayed. Got two hairline cracks inside. So i guess keep it up over 550 for a few more days and maybe it will dri out enough to clear the whole thing.

    Thanks Dave, Its proving to be a little devil because I did't plan that far ahead when I did it for my brick on the surround. My corners overhang a 1/2" right at the back of the curve. {{{Scratching Head.}}}}

    Well, you have two choices. You can wait a while longer and see if the color changes to black or you could start low, slow, curing, fires now. On the other hand, I'm a little jealous because I think a green vent would contrast nicely with the logs and fire.

    Cheers,
