    Vermiculite all cured next I laid down 50mm calcium silicate board then laid out the floor and cut in the hearth
    Next I will the start laying bricks for the sides and back of the barrel

    very cheap...almost to good to be true....i hope its not a cheap imitation of the real product. its also not super heavy but has some weight to it. $22 is pretty cheap shipping too. I picked up my foamglas for $2.98 sq ft. from distribution International Just do your research and make sure.

    Your right about the settling but this point the fill on top is really over kill at least in this milder climate ...I also would not use vermiculite as it is used primarily to retain water when used in soil mixtures unless you can be sure it won’t take on moisture. Have poured many bags of it in concrete...
