Removable Lid/Cover

Great site! Quick question. I'm going to build a fire pit in our backyard and I'm considering having it double as a small pizza oven. In other words, it would look like a standard fire pit, round, maybe 3 ft high, 3ft in diameter, brick exterior. But is there any way that I could make a removable lid with chimney to place over top of the pit to turn the pit into an oven? I could put in a front slot to feed the fire and insert/remove pizza/bread as needed.
