Oven Curing

I just had an oven built in our backyard and saw the need to cure! Thanks for the insight. When we built the oven, I had a gas log bar installed as a help to have the fire quickly start when we plan to cook. As an alternative to burning wood to cure the oven, is it possible to fire up the gas log at to try and reach the right temp and let it cure that way?
