To be honest, beer can chicken works just fine with only water and aromanatics in the can. I hope my redneck friends don't read this .

But this link is free .

started a topic Beer Can Chicken

    Beer Can Chicken

    Wow,
This was too dang easy and too darn good.

    Ok take one chicken..
Olive Oil and seasoning- Old Bay or your favorite kind.
    Season it up.

Take the can of 24 oz beer....in my case PBR simply because that is all they had.
Put in the can, Seasoning and a cube of butter, Garlic and a Habanero.

Put the Chicken on top of the beer can and put that in a Cast Iron pan.

Cook at 350-400 in your wood oven for 1.5 to 2 hours.
I had a 6lb chicken, so he was a big baby bird. lol.

Wow was it fantastic....after it is cooked, pull the bird and then put a few good shakes/pours of Worsteshire sauce....let that cook while the bird rests.

The juice with the pull apart chicken is pretty darn epic. Enjoy.
Working...
