Why are there so many "members" that havent made 1 single post here
Why are there so many "members" that havent made 1 single post here
Why are there so many "members" that havent made 1 single post here, there are 298 pages x 30 members per page = 8940 members that havent made 1 post, I see "cheap viagra on line" is a member?
Given the quality of the english in the posts, i gather this activity is offshored often. The point is not so much to sell cheap viagra to the oven building community, as to game search engine ratings, which are based in part on how often your website is cited in other places, particularly blogs and forums.
As to the no-post members? Our new members are moderated, and a spammer has to be reasonably persistent to get the message through.
Re: Why are there so many "members" that havent made 1 single post here
I have been lurking for a couple of years, dreaming of starting my oven and bookmarking certain build threads, where to find stuff in Houston threads, and other potentially useful threads. This will happen when I either finish all the current projects in my house, or move to a new house.
I did post about a year ago to ask a question on the Harbor Freight saw, since you guys have so much experience, but I guess that was deemed spam even though I mentioned my oven interest/ plans.
We'll see if this makes it through - if not, I guess I'll get one more tick mark in the persistent category and maybe eventually I'll have enough attempted posts to make it on board.
Re: Why are there so many "members" that havent made 1 single post here
I belong to a board that I have been a member of since 1996. It is a private board, and we have people that post their first post now with a join date of 1996-98. They have been lurking for 12 to 14 years before they make their first post, during which time I have made 25,000+ posts, and the average poster probably has around 4000. 14 YEARS of lurking and then they post once?!
Re: Why are there so many "members" that havent made 1 single post here
Too busy reading all the other informative posts to post a post of my own. All of my questions have been answered thus far.
When/if my presentation gains approval from the Commissioner (Wife) and I get furloughed from Camp Honey-Do to start building, more posts are sure to follow.

That is a lot of members. Glad not to see a lot of advertising on the site. James could make a few clicks and make some money with Adsense and google ads. Thanks t ADMIN for not doing that

If you are thinking about building a brick oven, my advice is Here.
I try to learn from my mistakes, and from yours when you give me a heads up.
Re: Why are there so many "members" that havent made 1 single post here
For me, I'm not the most talkative person in real life. I'm more of an information hound. I've built two with the second coming out better then the first. I won't build another until I get to the last house in my life.

You made it through ebbro
Don't take it personally that no one answered, happens to me frequently. It seems that the HF saw is frequently purchased by members here. There was a 20% off coupon in yesterday's paper.
Persistence is good
