  • Alternatives in the WFO hobby

We heat our home with wood, supplemented by a heat pump. That means cleaning the fireplace insert stove daily in the coldest days of the year.

I've been thinking of one of these.

There seems to be some usefulness carrying over to the cleaning of a wood fired oven.

    What do you all think?

The Vac is priced reasonably but I would see how much the replacement filters are before I purchased.

We heat with wood too, we clean out the lounge heater before lighting it and then once or maybe twice in a 3 month period..

Once lit the fire never goes out save for a clean.

Obviously, you are better at cleaning that we are....

Ashes get to insulating the firebrick in our unit after two col, cold days. The unit is running 100% this week with lows in the teens (F). Not very cold, but houses arent made for cold here.

I'm sure that Hepa filter is expensive.
