  • The last rock!

This is the last one! Our mason and his son as he points to the last rock in the enclosure. WooHoo!!

We started framing the portico 9 days ago, the roofers put shingles on yesterday.

        Its a step Al

I don't mind the oven floor being high, but the counter space next to the oven door was much too tall to use comfortably (lets say for assembling pizza). The step will bring the counter top into a comfortable working range, yet still be pretty tall. I'm putting broken bricks and rock chippings in there to fill some of the space, the step will be at least 5 inches tall. I will tile it, and the portico floor so it will look pretty.

        A work still in progress.
