  • Christmas wish list ideas?

My oven's not finished, but when it is...what should I ask for for Christmas? My list so far is: pizza paddle and a cast iron Dutch oven. Any ideas? What do you find to be your favorite oven accessories? Thanks!

Aluminum proofing pans. They really work great.

      Dear Poetry Art
Big Heavy base roasting pan with a rack to keep the roast of the base and allow you to have a little water in the bottom...
Remember your door size on your wish list.... it needs to fit and you may as well get the biggest that can fit!

        Re: Christmas wish list ideas?

Below are WFO items I either have and appreciate most, or am asking Santa for this year:

        Have to have's
-A good wire bristled brush / broom
        -Fire poker
        -Long oven mitts
-Pizza peels... the more the better!

        Nice to have's
-Infrared thermometer (this is probably a have-to-have for the first couple months, but I use it less and less now that I know my oven).
        -Terracotta bakeware
        -Dough proofing pans
-Some kind of long tool with a hook to pull hot pans from the oven
        -Caputo 00 flour

I have a dutch oven that I've used in the WFO, but I'd go for terracotta before iron...IMO.

I would also throw in a good pizza cutter if you are planning on lots o parties. Worth every cent!

As for gloves, I use aluminized gloves - expensive but gives me extra time.

Pizza peel - i am envying the one with lots o little holes in it to get rid of excess flour to avoid the mistakes by the party noobs (or wife not payin attention!)

Excellent things for my wish list! Thanks! Can't wait to use them! A friend gave me a cookbook today -1 dough, 100 pizzas.... Am drooling over the s'mores pizza! Lol . Bought a few bottles of truffle oil recently, tried it on regular oven pizza, amazing flavor!
