Growing veggies using recycled water.
Here is the growing and watering system we've used for the past 6 years, we just pop in the seeds and wait for the things to grow.

Its really low maintenance and self watering, we use all the water from the washing machine and the shower, we always use environmentally friendly soap and no chemicals.

Any excess water is directed to the garden via the overflow from the tubs.

Its tomato season and Ive just taken about 4kgs off the plants.

The tubs are down what they call the dead side of the house, back in the 70's when this house was built they had to stay 6' off the boundary for some reason?

love it when things go natural and you dont need to do anything but pick and eat.

We get the odd weed now and then but the chooks get to enjoy them..

I think the reason may have been to prevent the spread of fire from some maniac who might be inclined to play with fire.

Wow that's a great idea which is implemented very beautifully.I will also try to implement this in my garden.
