  • Stone Masonry

I have been an amature mason for over 30 years and love to study stonework, usually rought stone.

But some cut stone is pretty cool too! I found this granite balcony....note the single stones that support the balcony and the top one keyed into the building furthest...one piece!

It's really cool! (Not a mason, don't play one on TV but love looking at stone work!)

Um, but if it's the support and not sitting on the ground then wouldn't it have to be one piece in order to be cantilevered like that?

Yes, I confuse easily - why do you ask?
