I have a cookbook question . . .

Does anyone know if there is a difference between the 1961 edition, and the 1965 edition of Mastering the Art of French Cooking, by Julia Child?

Yes, there were some revisions in the newer edition. I saw a documentary on Julia Child and I remember them mentioning that. I vaguely recall it being something about simplifying some recipes but I won't swear to that.

OK, thanks. My local library only has the very new 40th anniversary edition -- way too expensive. But I'm looking for the original1961, or the 1965, to check it out and buy used.

I have the 1961 edition (4th printing 1963) if you want me to post a recipe for comparison.
