DC Elite Pizza held its inaugural meeting today at 2 Amys Neapolitan Pizzeria in Washington. The club is open to anyone who owns a wood-fired oven or hopes to soon. We had a great time, and spent most of it bragging about how we make better pizza than 2 Amys. (They actually make the best [restaurant] pies in DC). We had a bit of excitement when we spied George Stephanopoulos and his two daughters having lunch. The little guy can really put it away!
All pizza fanatics in the National Capital area are invited to join the club. We'll meet throughout the year, making pizza and enjoying meals at the region's better pizzerias.
