nice. I've seen pics of those circulating for a while. I think they were a Kickstarter in the UK. It looks pretty darn portable, but I think you're right, it would be tough to regulate temp. I think the steel on the top (and all over) is going to radiate some heat - it will take some serious fuel to keep it going and at 800+ (but also heat up quick).
I work with these guys here in Tennessee, where I'm from, and they have a small form-factor WFO that's made of an insulating stone and fits a Weber grill (and several other designs under way I believe). They have a Kickstarter going now:

G'day
I purchased the UUMI Wood Fired Oven & will put a brief review on it. I ordered the unit on Monday & it arrived Wednesday - Delivery by Australia Post. Quite reasonable. The version I have is the UUMI 2 with a stone base. On first looks - nice…
I wouldn't call it a WFO really as it doesn't do all that the oven things but it seems to be a great little pizza maker

Looks like it would be great for tailgating. After it gets up to heat you may be able to regulate the flame by how many pellets you feed it? I noticed a lot of the pies had a char - I try and avoid that.Check out my pictures here:

If at first you don't succeed... Skydiving isn't for you.
