  • Now that's a dog bone

I found these huge bones on Amazon and have to share the photo. I think they are dinosaur bones. :-)

My dog is sitting beside me, drooling ... but don't think she's quite big enough yet to handle those!

        James,
is one of these labradores the one who ate your laser temperature gun?
And you are rewarding them with such treats?
I guess you owe them a favour for your new toy.
I used to get these bones from the butcher but had to bandsaw them in halves for my old boy to clean all of the marrow out of. They are even hard to smash open with an axe.

Very funny, and sadly true. I think you can spoil your dogs, but not your kids. Your dogs don't carry your genes around, and they don't have to go to college, get married and raise your grandchildren. :-)

            Very true James,
BUT I have never been so emotional nor upset on having to put my beloved labradore of 14 years down. I was nowhere as affected at the separate deaths of my immediate parents even though we were close.
Dogs are in some ways better than kids (or for that matter wives/partners), because they are:
            - always wagging their tails,
            - always there for you,
            - come when they are called,
            - don't answer back,
            - cost a lot less to feed,
            - eat almost anything, (especially dinasaur bones and themometers),
            - you don't have to pay to get them married off,
            - always faithful,
            - never tell lies,
            - the list goes on.

              Neil,
All that you say is true, but so much more, eh.
My dog (dogs)have been told secrets that would destroy the monarchy. Betul!
