I live in central Florida and I had to blanket an oven I was working on yesterday to keep it from freezing overnight.I'm done till it warms up.It's not supposed to warm up for a solid week!Glogal warming my ass!I knew that was a scam.

Re: freezing everywhere!
Tell me about it. South central Alabama - and my dogs water dishes have been frozen solid two days in a row! It's forecast to snow with a follow up of freezing rain tomorrow! The foreseeable forecast doesn't improve.
I'm going later today to try and find another heater..."He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." - Jim Elliot[/CENTER]

Re: freezing everywhere!
It's bad here too.
I have my rosemary bush covered up with an old horse blanket. We're still looking at the snow we got before Christmas. The water in the horses' water buckets freezes over as fast as you can break the ice. I dumped one last night and I swear the water on the ground was freezing as I looked at it.
I am really ready for some normal temperatures. You know it's bad when 30 degrees seems like a warm day...

Re: freezing everywhere!
Yeah your northerners, suffer just like us down under here.
We had 35˚C today, 39˚ for tomorrow, 41˚ for the next 3 days and slowly cooling to the mid to low 30's. Yes, ain't the weather lousy!

Re: freezing everywhere!
Thousands of folks from Alabama and Texas have been enjoying our clear 70+ weather here in L.A. this week leading up to tonight's championship game here at the Rose Bowl.
I've got the day off and plan on doing some concrete work and later on do some spare ribs on the kettle and watch the game on tv.

Re: freezing everywhere!
The current temperature is 34F. That's the warmest it's been in over a week! Just in time for another 6 inches of snow. It is nice, though, to go out and not have my nose hairs freeze.
I did live in Northern Illinois for about 5 years, but that was over 20 years ago and I have acclimated to a warmer clime. I also have to admit that I didn't like it that much up there- too flat, and it was 95 all summer and 15 all winter. SWVA is better- not usually that hot and not usually that cold. And certainly not flat.

Ooo, those ice covered cars... nasty!
I'll think of that next time I have to scrape the car windows free.
