  • Religious Processions

The Good Friday Procession is one of the major events in many parts of Spain. This week is Semana Santa, (holy week) and the biggest processions are in Sevilla ....but even our own small town brings out these wood carved, plaster and painted religious objects to carry around the town and the whole town turns out to participate and watch.

Jesus carrying his cross, followed by the Virgin, followed by the crucifixion, followed by the body.....Catholic or otherwise, it's quite a tradition to watch.

Pics are at night and give a mystical touch.

Looks wonderful XJ. Do the women don those beautiful dresses for the feria? Gorgeous women in beautiful dresses. Love at first sight, over and over again.
