You should cover it up to keep it moist for a week.

I used an acrylic product called A-100 and so far, thru one rainy season and the tropic sun and the heat from the oven, it has held up perfectly. My only concern might be that in order to refinish at some point in time, that I may have to power sand down to stucco to get the best adhesion. I really like the coating and also used it on some slate trim at the transition to the patio.

2mm steel, double wall, filled w/perlite, pipe fitting welded on for the thermometer and 2 long bolts for the wood handles. Not too heavy and really does keep the heat inside the oven.

                      Re: Stucco Done

Wow your fire codes are much less restrictive than ours I had to be 15 ft from the house, fence and any other combustible structures. Pizza and oven look great, I like the rock around the chimney.

                          new pic

Turkey brining tonight .. going in the oven tomorrow! Made Pork Carnitas last week and they were the best ever! Door is done, so the only thing I have left is the cobblestone patio next year! My Initials and year are out about 2 1/2" out so that creates a handle.. I know its off a little bit.. adds to the character ..

I put ours in the brine about an hour ago. I had another thread going but how are you handling the fire; tonight or tomorrow? I opted to fire up tomorrow and we will see how that goes.

I think it is a great handle, and good luck on the bird...
