just got back from hawaii. seems like every restaurant there has a wood burning oven. here's a picture of the one at our hotel. the interesting thing about this one was... the interior is a rectangular box of brick, not a dome. (how do they get the brick to stay put on the top? i was too full of food and wine to think to ask.) also, note the shallow but wide throat. this makes handling multiple pizza much easier. if i build another one, i'm going to attempt a wider and shallower throat.
