Hi stonejumper, I'm just about to start laying bricks when I came across this topic. Nice video you have there. What was the valve that you ended up using in the outer dome and where did you get it from? I noticed that you said the previous one was too big

I think it is a really cool build you did there! Lets hope my oven will turn out as great as this one.

Starting to look pretty good now. I will be raising the garden next year to the same level as the sleepers.

Looks nice! If you didn't dump most of the toppings from your first pizza into the oven you're way ahead or me
Chimney...mine goes up about 2ft over the top of the dome....with the chimney at the front of the dome the way ovens are built I don't see how it can possibly draft like a fireplace so I'm pretty sure the point of the chimney is just to keep the smoke out of your face so nearly anything you build is "right" as long as it big enough ID.....but my total oven building experience is 1 so take that into account when considering my opinion

Are you planning on a roof? I also built an 'exposed igloo' style and am planning a roof but keep going back and forth on the idea.
Just curious, where did you put your breather?
Nice work.

I asked all the questions and had only a few replies. I made the mistakes and tried my best to correct them. I am not sure if the last few bits i have done are ok, fingers crossed?
Thanks to all that helped out with what I've done, i did receive some top notch info from a few on here. My last 5 posts haven't had a single reply.
The pizza was very nice last week thanks.Last edited by stonejumper; 09-04-2020, 12:49 PM.

Insulated the chimney, still a bit unsure how I'm going to finish it off but I'll come up with something.
We're having some pretty bad storms at the moment so i thought i cover it over save it getting saturated.
No more fires until the chimney has really gone off and the breather valve was way too big so I've ordered another 1.5" one.1 Photo

Render finished and first trickle fire for 3hrs. The rendering went alot better than i thought it would, was really enjoyable but very time consuming.
One thing I have noticed is my chimney is quite set back and into the render coat, i can feel the heat already through it, thinking about render coating the chimney now, what do you think?2 Photos
