I see the end in sight and have been stepping efforts to finish my 18 month project so you don't finish before me!!!
I've got well over 5k invested in mine (I'm scared to count up all the receipts - actually) - but that includes 800 sq foot of brick pavers and the grill - I salvaged base block, used old chain link instead of wire mesh - recycled form boards. I can't imagine how much I would have spent to hire it out.
I know what you mean about all cook and no relaxing. I've started to train the neighbors on oven tending and dough handling. I'm going to start supervising more and doing less!!!
I don't mind bartending if you have an opening for your next party.....
