  • Foam support clay brick dome

    Howdy All;
    I have just completed my oven and have the styrofoam supports that worked well to support the building of the dome. There is only one that is cracked, the first one I took out, after that they are intact. If anyone is planning on building a 42" inside diameter dome this might be for you. The height is 22". They were cut from two 4 x 8 sheets of 1" styrofoam.

    They are yours if you need them.

    how did you made mortar for arch? I read some where that to make mortar for arch use 10 part sand, 6 part fire clay, 3 part lime and 2 part portland cement. Is this work?
