Hi can anybody out there give me an idea of how long STD. 2" 2300 degree ceramic blanket will last at a constant temp. of 1922 degrees F. before needing to be replaced, a couple of years, 3mos, 6mos etc?
Just an idea before needing replacement.
    thanks

    Re: Ceramic Blanket

In an ideal situation, with no moisture, for ever at that temp, most blanket is 1260 C rated, and melts at 1700c. In an insulative situation, as in behind bricks or castables, you will never get up that temperature.

I don't think that anyone advertises this as there are so many variables that can affect service life.
