  • Boston down, Big Sur to go

    Hey guys,

I am happy to report that I survived the Boston Marathon and that I'm still in one piece. One down and one to go. My training wasn't very good because of the heel injury, but I did a 3:21 which is OK all things considered. I was about 4,400 out of 27,500 and 228 in my age group.

Big Sur is on Sunday and I'm going to enjoy the day and the scenery and not go so fast.

Also, Forno Bravo raised over $3,000 for the Christopher Reeve Foundation. A big thanks goes out to everybody who purchased one of the FB eBooks! You still have time to make a donation!

        Hey guys,

We did it. The Big Sur Marathon was yesterday, and we had a blast. Two coasts, six days, two marathons, 52.4 miles -- and zero brains. I feel remarkably good.

              Wow!

That is a great accomplishment James! You earned a couple of 'atta boy's' for that effort.

An important part of the training cycle is rest, so I'd say you have earned a little time off, let the body parts get back together! And then get busy on the next objective - could that be an 'ultra'?

              Congratulations!
