  • Gooday!

    Hi Everyone,

Just a note to introduce myself.
I am a new builder from Australia.
Have been planning the build for over a year now and have finally started.

Have layed the base slab, built the bottom and layed the hearth slab this weekend.

Cant wait to start on the oven.

Just wanted to thank everyone that posts and contributes to this site. This has been a late find for me, but a great find all the same. So much information.

Have spent a lot of time researching details and making sure that I was on the correct page and not doing anything crazy.

I am in awe at the detail and the build quality of the ovens that are posted here. Hopefully some of the skills I see will rub off and I will build something half as good.

It will certainly not be from lack of effort.

Will keep posting and reading as I progress and hope to finish and be cooking before the Summer?????

    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Kkwall36

    Re: Gooday!

    Hi Kkwall36 and welcome aboard.
I have added you to my list of contributors to the forum from Australia.
Where abouts in this wonderful land are you?
There will be others close by that may be able to assist you in the decisions and build of your oven?
Don't worry about being in the correct page as we will find your postings and the mederators will keep it on track.
Don't forget to keep the pics coming so tht we can show the others our all year round building ability.

    Cheers.

          Re: Gooday!

          Thank you everyone.
I'll certainly post more photo's. I'll look out some of the earlier stages of the Build.

This site is certainly a wealth of info. It's already influenced and changed my build. Thanks again Bob for the sage advice.

First lesson learned regarding insulation.......... When you think you have enough! Add somemore!!!

Really enjoying building it and getting the family to help with the build.

          Will post more photo's soon.

          All the Best,
          Kenny
