Welcome aboard to sunny (or is that snowy) SoCal,

There are a good number of wood-fired ovens in your part of the world, and you have the right climate for year-round use. Your oven progress looks great, and I like your round stand. Very nice with the red brick facing out.

What is the top of the enclosure going to be?

Keep going and you will be cooking soon.

Yo bud. Looks like we're sort of close to each other both geographically and progress wise. I live in Echo Park Los Angeles. Any chance of a reverse shot of how you are tying your arch into the next ring of bricks? I have a good line on perlite here from a place in the valley that makes it. Can't remember the name, but I'll hit you back with it. Your oven looks killer as us outhern Californian's say

Wait a minute. Two ovens with scored bricks in SoCal. What, is it the water?

Looks like I am between both of you here in Thousand Oaks.
Perhaps we need a progressive meal all cooked in wood buring ovens?

Designated driver? I'll be the designated drunk. Both my sister and I did crushes at Au Bon Climat/Qupe. Me in 1994, my sister in 2000. Bob Linquist is donating a couple of cases of Bien Nacido Syrah for our launch party.. My sis also crushed with the Winiarski's at Stags Leap Wine Cellars, Mondavi, A couple of French wineries, A place in Chile I can't remember, South Island New Zealand, all over Australia, and most recently Domaine Drouhin, a biodynamic joint up in Oregon.. There will be wine at the party.

Hi you guys. I live in Tujunga. Now all I need to do is bribe with some fine wines from here and there and maybe, just maybe I can finagle a trip to your oven firing parties?

                  So jealous.

Well I think a limo is in order. That way we can all be designated drunks.
