  • Finally, my very own dome

hi everyone, this is a great site and has inspired me to finally attempt my very own WFO (i had been talking about it for years!). ihave completed my dome and insulated with both ceramic blanket and vermiculite/cement and am just about to render and would like to attach riverstones or possibly granite/crushed marble(not quite sure yet) to the external render which will be exposed to the elements. My question is what do i add to render mix for waterproofing and should i embed the stones into render or attach to render with some type of adhesive.
    thanks,
    tony.

Maybe my advice is too late but I hear that the re is a glue that works in high heat for glueing to cement. Local pizza oven suppliers use it. Sorry I don't know it's name.

If the oven is built correctly you wont need high heat glue, the outside shouldnt get above 20c ambient.
