Most forums moderate the first couple of posts to make sure they are not spam.

I tried posting in Pompeii oven forum and Australia forum some questions I had about a build I'm about to undertake but neither of those posts have shown up yet

Wait a few days and, if they don't show up, try again. As Al says, this is an anti spam measure that may affect your first couple of posts.

It must work, since this is a remarkably spam-free forum.
