  • G'day from Canberra Australia.

    Hey all,

My wife and I have just bought our first house just outside Canberra and for my first project I'm looking at making a pompeii style wood fired oven. We're pretty keen on a good pizza and have been making our own since forever, our current favourite topping on them is caramelised leeks, blue cheese, home smoked speck and fior de latte. The oven should really help take them to the next level! I have a bit of an odd shaped area where I'm currently thinking of building the oven but I'm sure I'll be able to come up with something in the fullness of time.

    Thanks for reading,
    scon.

      Gudday
Well best place to start is with a set of plans. Go to the forno store and put a set in your basket and they will charge you $0... yes thats free. They send them by e-mail. Have a read ....there quite extensive then start asking questions on the forum.

        Hey Scon,

How's it going? any progress with the oven. I poured my slab some months ago and am now looking to build the base. Trying to find blocks that won't cost me $4 each from Bunnings...

        All the best,

        Tim
