I am thinking of either purchasing an oven kit or building a Pompeii oven. I spoke with our borough manager who said that i would need to get a permit. Since I will be building it myself, I am not hiring a contractor who knows about fire regulations. I need to find out what the rules are about how far from a building it needs to be, if there are requirements about distances from trees and other potentially flammable objects. Are there rules that are fairly standard that I can write into my plan?
