  • Hello from NSW Australia

    hello people,
I've been talking to the wife about building a wood fired pizza oven for a number of years now and today I finely got the OK.
I have a small idea about howto go about building an oven from this forum and Youtube.
Anyway this is what I got to work with.

I want to build my oven in this corner.

    My build. http://www.fornobravo.com/forum/f51/...ton-18665.html

    Welcome Wayne.

A WFO will look smick in that corner. What size oven are you looking at building?

Provide some dimensions and the suggestions will come.
The FB instuctions will assist you in the build, and the wonderful people on this forum will make the process so much simpler.

    Good Luck.

    Cheers

        wayne,
Looks like there is room for a corner build to me. You can look at my thread for an idea for one. There are a fair number of corner builds on the forum. Good luck

          Hi Wayne,

The footprint of my base to my corner build is approximately 1600/1700mm and that takes a large oven 1100mm(43inch based on fornos corner build plans).

So you would certainly have room for a substantial oven should require it, and still not impact on the other BBQ area.

I am doing a corner build. Have a look in the Australian Forum for images. Oven build in Adealide BOOMERS WFO.

          Good Luck

Hey Craig, your build is just what im after and your base looks simple enough to build and I think would suit my corner.
Just a question about your besser blocks what size are they?400 x 200?
If they are do these measurements look correct or similar to your base?

The only way I know to get the plans of the site is to go to the store place a free copy of the plans in your trolley and forno will send a pdf attachment by e-mail.

                        Re: Hello from NSW Australia

                        Hi Wayne,

That would be pretty close to my base dimensions. The blocks are 400x200(read 390 x 290 plus mortar) I mortared first course edge to edge and then dry laid the remainder courses filling every second hole with mortar.

I had starter rods from the slab. Ensure you have enough strength in the slab as there is a fair bit of weight to go on top.

I have a PDF of the plans on my other computer, I will email them to you.

                        Cheers

Cool, I brought my blocks today so hopefully I'll be starting a build thread in the next day or two.
The plans would be great! thanks Craig.
