    Thanks guys
It was nice to have someone looking over my shoulder on this.
Thanks to y'all, I turned the dome bricks the correct way and I don't have an expensive fire pit.
We followed the FB mantra, Insulate, Insulate, Insulate.
My buddy owns a pastry shop and is making me a batch of dough to try out today.
After 90 minutes, the dome is starting to clear.
My weak point is going to be dough, we will be tweaking it.
All of my neighbors have volunteered to be tasters.
I am surprising my stone mason next week. I am having a small name plate made of SS with his company logo and name engraved to place someone on the oven.
He is extremely proud of this, as I am.
    This was his 1st oven.
It was worth the time and effort.
Pizza pics later todayIf I don't f&%k it up, lol
    thanks again

    Gudday
Yes it's not centered but its balanced with the BBQ on the side , I didn't even think about it till you said so.
The pics are real high quality ... Thats why my phone takes a long time to download, just use your Mobile for pics.
Slow down on the acid wash .... That mortar on the chimney is still "green" hasn't cured and set , patients.
All that said , that's one pretty fine looking oven!!!!

I still can't post more than one pic at a time
That double drawer was in the existing brickwork.
We hate that it's not centered. It has cinder block walls on each side, i am able to live with it.

Tomorrow we will acid wash the brick, avoiding the stainless steel.
We have to replace some of the slate countertop we removed.
We have a low profile flue screen that is hidden.
Now to get some pizza's going.
I have been building fires with logs, i have to get them smaller, wrist size.

I had a nice firing last night, not huge. The dome was over 800 degrees.
I closed it up at 9 PM
At 1 PM today, the inside walls were 230 degrees. I threw some ribs in there.
The outside walls are now 8-10 degrees higher than outside ambient temp of 85
We have 2-3" of vermi-crete as insulation on the side walls. The dome is covered with 3 layers of ceramic blanket and 2-3" of vermi-crete.
We are making a cove for a light above the arch and we still need to brick the chimney around the flue. Hoping it will be done this Saturday.
I found a low profile flue screen that will be hidden. The cap will be a piece of PA Bluestone Slate.
Thanks for the encouragement and advice!!
    Michael

Thanks, we have to figure a way to make a cove for a fixture meant to be in the bricks, under a step
