Jason -- HELP!!
We built a Masonry heating Stove/Fireplace in our family room on main level of home to help offset the price of oil heat in the northeast area, the suburbs of Philly. See attached pics of current set up. We are at the point of finishing our basement and ran into a major headache regarding the firebox ash container for the masonry stove. The ash container sits directly below firebox, is a 6? hole, approx the size of coffee can, and currently empties ash into a make shift platform in the ceiling of basement, 4 feet from the wall (hence the headache). I am looking for suggestions on how to build a firebox ash container properly without placing a column in the middle of the room. Im open to any and all suggestions at this time.
