Being new to the Forno Bravo web site, we quickly realized that we wanted to build a pizza oven and access the best information available, but did not know where to look. Getting smart about building a Wood Fired Oven (WFO) would have been easier with a little tutoring. So, listed in bold below, you find a few shortcuts to

Make sure you are thinking about what you want to bake...just pizza, mostly bread, or everything. Also how much/often you'll be using the oven and for how many guests/friends/relatives. Consider whether you want a cover for the oven if you often have rainy weather when you entertain...or just for yourself during oven/food prep, serving, or cleanup. A clear path to the oven from the kitchen is pretty nice.

I believe there have been a couple builds that have been done in SA. Look at the regional threads. It might be a resource for sourcing materials.
