    Hey guys

    hi all just wanted to say hello
    Would like to start my own diy oven and not buy one from a shop ao i am gathering as much info as possible before i start

    Welcome to the forum...and yes, this is the best site for information and ideas about building your own oven (IMHO). Make sure you check out the link below started by Lburou in the newbie area (...treasures...)

    Make sure you are thinking about what you want to bake...just pizza, mostly bread, or everything. Also how much/often you'll be using the oven and for how many guests/friends/relatives. Consider whether you want a cover for the oven if you often have rainy weather when you entertain...or just for yourself during oven/food prep, serving, or cleanup. A clear path to the oven from the kitchen is pretty nice.

    Just some thoughts for you while you're browsing. Looking forward to your build!

      I believe there have been a couple builds that have been done in SA. Look at the regional threads. It might be a resource for sourcing materials.
